Job Overview Komatsu is currently searching for a Manufacturing Process Engineer at our Longview Texas facility. Komatsu offers competitive pay, excellent benefits and annual merit and bonus potential. Key Job Responsibilities Work safe and be an advocate for safety. Creating and facilitating standardized production procedures Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training. Improves manufacturing processes and methods for safety, cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members. Assists ME Manager and Operations in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training. Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment. Assists in the design, development, testing and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, equipment and fixtures for recommended manufacturing methods. Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams. Works as the liaison between Design Engineering and the Manufacturing floor to solve challenges and keep production moving. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years related experience or combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal, facilitation, organizational and written/verbal communication skills are required. Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listing and presentation skills including the ability to influence others.
