Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator to set up, operate, and maintain SMT machinery used in the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics manufacturing and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Excellent oral and written communication skills Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving abilities Intermediate or higher computer literacy Ability to work effectively in a team environment Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision Knowledge of electronic components and SMT assembly processes Ability to read and interpret electronic assembly documentation and drawings Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): Set up, operate, and shut down SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, ovens, X-Ray, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Perform daily and routine maintenance on SMT equipment Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machines and program issues Ensure proper handling and disposal of materials (solder paste, ESD-sensitive items, cleaning agents) Maintain a clean and organized work cell at all times Communicate effectively with SMT team members Implement ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) and modify machine/AOI programs as required Identify components (e.g., polarity, orientation, part type) Utilize statistical process control techniques Assist SMT Setup Team and serve as Line Lead/Mentor/Trainer as needed Perform general visual inspections of assemblies Complete and maintain production documentation accurately Record cell performance data Rotate between various workstations and cells as needed
