POSITION SUMMARY

: The Tube Wash Operator is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of parts through proper washing procedures while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and production protocols, and effective communication with supervisors to maintain efficiency and compliance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurement tools.
• Inspect parts for dirt, debris, rust, and burs, before processing.
• Maintain punctual attendance, arriving on time and working until the end of designated shift. Notify the supervisor in advance of any tardiness or absences.
• Monitor and maintain fluid and soap levels in tube wash machines.
• Promptly notify the supervisor of supply needs before depletion.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Use a vacuum on every cleaned tube to ensure proper cleanliness.
• Meet production efficiency standards by averaging one TA per four minutes.
• Ensure that all prints remain with the correct parts throughout the process.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with OSHA regulations, workplace procedures, safety rules, and company policies.
• Accurately complete and submit daily production sheets to the supervisor.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols and precise work instructions.
• Participate in safety training, emergency response drills, and incident reporting procedures.
• Contributes to team effort and completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Coordination, Attention to Detail, Judgment, Manual Dexterity (use of hands), Physical Strength (lift/move up to 45 lbs.), Physical Stamina (stand for extended periods)
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, including machine operation safety, electrical safety, fall protection, and hazard communication
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, airborne particles, chemicals, and/or fumes
• The warehouse temperature fluctuates due to weather conditions
• Noise level can be loud, at times
• Maintain compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, including wearing safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and any additional PPE as required
