Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laser Marking Technician to join our dynamic team in the medical device manufacturing industry. In this role, you will operate and maintain laser marking equipment to ensure precise identification and branding of medical components. Your expertise will contribute to producing high-quality, compliant products that meet stringent industry standards. Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate laser marking machines to produce accurate markings on various medical device components Program laser systems using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to ensure precise engraving according to specifications Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment, including Fanuc controllers and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to verify marking accuracy Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other mechanical tools to inspect finished products for quality compliance Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment within the manufacturing facility Maintain detailed documentation of production processes, quality checks, and equipment maintenance logs Experience Proven experience operating laser marking systems in a manufacturing or factory environment, preferably within the medical device sector Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming principles Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for design review and tooling setup Hands-on experience with fabrication tools including press brake machines, stamping presses, welding equipment, and hand tools Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, assembly line operations, and packaging procedures Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T standards for quality control purposes Prior warehouse experience or materials handling skills are advantageous Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team committed to excellence in medical device manufacturing.
