Competitive wages Career development and progression 401(k) plan with company match PTO and paid holidays Excellent medical, dental, life, vision and disability benefits Employee Assistance Program Employee referral incentives A day in the life: Assist the employees and management of manufacturing facilities in the enforcement of the safety procedures within the Safety and Risk Program to ensure state and federal OSHA compliance in the field and reduce the risk of employee injury Coordinate all tasks and functions on site(s) to ensure they are performed safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures and OSHA standards Sustain safe operations by conducting manufacturing site visits/inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment; observing and documentation employee work practices and improving safety preparedness Identify corrective actions necessary to bring manufacturing sites into compliance with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and standards, and explain these measures to others Inspect the availability, readiness and proper use of required accident prevention procedures, safety and fire prevention equipment, protective clothing and devices, and first aid supplies Recommend and follow up to verify the implementation of corrective actions Identify and recommend safety equipment, materials, and supplies for work operations Assist in reporting and investigating workers' compensation and general liability claims; act as a liaison with workers' compensation issues Conduct and/or assist with job hazard analysis You should have: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required 2 or more years of safety experience required (preferably in a manufacturing setting but not required) OSHA 30 certification, preferably in general industry Occupational Health & Safety Technician (OHST) certification is a plus Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain Ability to learn and enforce current corporate policies and procedures Knowledge of and ability to enforce current Federal and Virginia Occupational Safety & Health regulations Knowledge of and/or ability to learn and enforce current NFPA Standards applicable to work operations Bilingual and train, the trainer certifications are a plus but not required Apply online: www.
