Job Description

Job Overview Ozone International is seeking a motivated entry-level Manufacturing Technician I to join our shop team. In this role, you will assist in the assembly, refurbishment, calibration, and testing of electrical and mechanical systems used in ozone and oxygen production and measurement equipment. You will work under the guidance of senior technicians and the Engineering & Manufacturing Manager, building hands-on skills in a specialized technical manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically or electrically inclined and eager to grow their career in industrial manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Electrical Manufacturing Assist with assembly and wiring of UL 508A electrical control panels under the direction of senior technicians Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and control systems with guidance Learn to interpret and follow basic electrical schematics, wire lists, and technical specifications Assist with testing, calibration, and inspection of electrical circuits and systems Follow regulatory standards and safety requirements for all electrical work Mechanical Manufacturing Assist with assembly of mechanical systems and components for ozone and oxygen equipment Support refurbishment of equipment including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly Operate hand tools and shop equipment including drills, taps, wire strippers, crimpers, and torque wrenches Assist with troubleshooting mechanical systems including pumps, plumbing, and enclosures with supervision Help ensure mechanical assemblies are built to specification and pass functional testing Instrument Calibration & Testing Calibrate gas analyzing instruments (ozone, oxygen) following established step-by-step procedures Assist with functional testing and quality checks on completed assemblies Record calibration results and test data accurately in the appropriate logs or systems Production Support Document work performed including assembly steps, test results, and any modifications made Support senior technicians and engineering staff with production tasks as assigned Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Contribute to meeting production schedules while maintaining quality standards Compliance and Safety Follow all health and safety protocols and shop procedures Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and any modifications Adhere to applicable industry standards and regulations under the guidance of senior staff Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Demonstrated mechanical or electrical aptitude — hands-on experience through coursework, personal projects, hobbies, or prior work is valued Valid driver's license Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and ask questions when uncertain Reliable, safety-conscious, and attentive to detail Preferred Qualifications Vocational coursework, trade school training, or certification in electrical, electronics, or mechanical fields Prior experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or technical service environment Familiarity with basic electrical concepts (voltage, current, continuity) and use of a multimeter Experience reading basic wiring diagrams or schematics Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or a related field Desired Attributes Eagerness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude Ability to stay organized and productive in a hands-on shop environment Proactive about flagging issues and asking for clarification before proceeding Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
