Opportunity for extension or conversion to a permanent position About the Opportunity Join an innovative team supporting the development of next-generation structural wood products for residential construction. This hands-on manufacturing role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with equipment, tools, and production processes while contributing to product development and commercialization efforts. What You'll Do Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and material handling requirements. Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust pilot production and shop equipment. Build, assemble, trim, stage, and package market trial materials according to specifications. Perform quality inspections on dimensions, appearance, labeling, and material condition. Record production data and identify non-conforming materials. Communicate process, equipment, and quality issues to engineering and production teams. Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and trial run preparation. Move raw materials and finished products safely throughout the work area. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing equipment and processes. Ability to read and follow work instructions, build specifications, and basic drawings. Experience using hand tools and shop equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Comfortable working in a manufacturing, shop, or pilot production environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, wood products, composites, or industrial production environments. Experience supporting pilot lines, prototype builds, process development, or trial production runs. Experience operating saws, cutters, presses, fastening tools, measuring devices, forklifts, hoists, or similar industrial equipment. Residential construction, carpentry, or jobsite experience.
