Job Description

Botanical Medicine Production Technician Who We Are Heron Botanicals has been dedicated to crafting local, human-scale herbal extracts for over 40 years. Role Overview Heron Botanicals, Inc. is hiring a full-time (32 hours/week) botanical medicine production technician to work in-person out of our Kingston, WA location. The Production Technician is involved in making, bottling, and labeling herbal dietary supplement extracts. This role is focused on producing herbal extracts with a focus on high quality craftsmanship in accordance with good manufacturing practices. This is a physical production role that involves standing throughout the day, working with plant materials, operating production equipment, and lifting up to 75 pounds regularly.   • 5:30PM, with flexibility within these hours.

Production, cross trained with fulfillment What You Will Do
  • Mill herbs using mixer choppers, hammermill or other size reduction equipment.
  • Press herbs using a hydraulic press
  • Bottle and label herbal extracts
  • Combine herbal extracts to make formulas.
  • Identify herbs according to botanical criteria Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fast paced commercial food production: Farm production experience (especially market garden style production), bar tending, wine production, brewery experience, commercial baking, line cook
  • High School Diploma or GED
