Job Description
Located in the Greater Mobile, AL area, we are a family-owned global engineering and maritime services company coming up on our 50th anniversary! Specializing in marine construction & repair, defense contracting, marine propulsion, disposals & decommissioning, our team is continuing to grow with an immediate need for an EE to join us in our shipyard near Bayou La Batre.
Position OverviewThis role supports technical design and execution efforts for complex systems operating in marine or vesselbased environments The individual works under the direction of more senior engineers to contribute to system development integration and validation activities throughout the project lifecycle The position is suited for someone with foundational electrical engineering experience and exposure to shipbuilding or maritime programsKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to coordinate work surface challenges and assist with resolutionSupport the development and integration of electrical systems intended for installation on marine platformsAssist with preparing and maintaining technical documentation drawings and design artifactsContribute to basic analysis activities related to system capacity loading and protectionParticipate in testing reviews and verification activities to confirm designs meet functional requirementsSupport configuration updates and approved design changes as projects progressPerform assigned tasks in accordance with established processes quality requirements and project expectationsWork with manufacturing installation or quality teams to help identify and resolve build or integration issuesProvide input to process improvements lessons learned and internal documentationExecute welldefined limitedcomplexity tasks under close technical supervisionQualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related fieldEarly-career engineering experience in a technical or industrial environmentFamiliarity with shipbuilding marine systems or vesselbased engineering projects preferredStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assigned tasksClear written and verbal communication skillsNice to HaveExperience supporting electrical systems on ships boats or offshore platformsExposure to industries with regulated safety-critical or environment-specific design constraintsBenefitsHealth/Dental/Vision InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramLife InsuranceShort-term and long-term disability401(k) with company matchVacation/Sick accrual and holiday payTuition reimbursement programEmployee referral programPet Insurance
