Job Summary:
Work alongside waterfront crew maintaining vessels and shore side facility during the summer bridge program. We will be preparing all the Cal Poly Maritime Academy vessels for use in the Fall 2026•Spring 2027 school year. Employment duration will be from May 4, 2026 to August 16, 2026. California State University Maritime Academy:
California Polytechnic State University, Maritime Academy is an affiliate campus of the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is the only degree-granting maritime academy on the West Coast. Located on the scenic Vallejo waterfront, the campus serves a student population of approximately 1000 undergraduates and 50 graduate students. Cal Poly Maritime Academy offers seven baccalaureate degrees in Business Administration, International Strategy and Security, Facilities Engineering Technology, Marine Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Transportation, and Oceanography. The undergraduate curriculum includes licensing programs for future merchant marine, coast guard, and naval reserve officers. Cal Poly Maritime Academy also offers a Master of Science in Transportation and Engineering Management degree, as well as a number of extended learning programs and courses.

Understanding of Safety Management Systems Proper use of Personal Protection Equipment Basic knowledge of prepping and painting Working aloft Knowledge of Hazmat recognition and disposal Training in Forklift and crane operations
