The Field Engineer position is responsible for installing, configuration, testing, servicing, disassembly and repairing various systems equipment which includes major and sub-components of Alarm Monitoring systems, CCTV, AV/Audio, Lighting, Electrical, Information Technology and Security systems on marine vessels. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Review engineering schematics and assembly drawings with the purpose of producing in-house manufacturing assemblies. Review engineering schematics and assembly drawings with the purpose of field installation of assemblies, equipment, and components. Configuration and testing of installed systems. I nstall, terminate, test, label, and document ethernet, power, control, coaxial and other cables Review of existing installations and completing Trouble Shooting, Maintenance and Repair. Interact with sales, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and project management in support of project requirements. Understanding of proper safety and abide to all quality rules instructed Timely response to any customer issues ensuring 100% customer satisfaction. Preparation of As-Built documents, including drawings, cable list, material list, project sign off. Trains customer-operating personnel with the system installed Punctual and detailed documentation of work performed, and time spent on tasks. Travel locally and internationally up to 75% of annual work time. Physical requirements must be met for the Marine Field Engineer position, including the ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 70 pounds, including bulky objects. This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing besides, onto and under a variety of equipment.
