Job Overview Join our dynamic marine construction team as a Tradesman at the Dolphin Marine Center, where your skills will help build, repair, and maintain vital marine infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance our aquatic environments and support marine operations. As a Tradesman, you will be a key contributor to our mission of delivering high-quality marine construction services with precision and professionalism. Your hands-on expertise will ensure the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations. Duties Perform a variety of marine construction tasks, including dock and pier building, pilings installation, and structural repairs. Maintain marine equipment, tools and supply inventory. Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of marine structures such as seawalls, bulkheads, and moorings. Conduct inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and project specifications. Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan daily tasks and troubleshoot technical issues on-site. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks conducted throughout each project. Follow environmental guidelines to minimize impact on surrounding ecosystems during construction activities. Requirements Proven experience in marine construction or related trades such as carpentry, welding, or heavy equipment operation. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans with attention to detail. Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to marine environments and construction sites. Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor in outdoor conditions for extended periods. Valid certifications such as OSHA safety training or specialized trade licenses are preferred. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime as required by project timelines.
