We are committed to providing vessel maintenance, repair, overhaul and conversion services that are unsurpassed in the industry.

Position OverviewThe Ship Superintendent will oversee the planning, execution and delivery of ship repair projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule and within budget. This role combines production coordination, marine engineering expertise and onsite supervision to manage the daily activities of foremen, trade labor and subcontractors. The Ship Superintendent acts as the primary on-site technical and operational lead for projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate production activities on-site to meet project schedules and milestones, including resource allocation and task sequencing.

Provide marine engineering oversight for repair, maintenance and modification work; review engineering drawings, specifications and repair plans.

Supervise and lead multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors on site, ensuring workmanship meets contractual, regulatory and quality standards.

Control costs by monitoring labor, materials and subcontractor performance; identify and escalate variances and cost savings opportunities.

Plan and coordinate sea trials, commissioning activities and technical acceptance tests as required.

Support procurement and logistics for materials, spares and consumables to minimize delays and ensure continuity of work.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience (5+ years) in ship repair, refit or shipyard production management with progressive responsibility as a superintendent or senior supervisor.

Demonstrated skills in production coordination and onsite supervision of multi-trade teams and subcontractors.

Direct experience with commercial and/or military ship repair projects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contracts.
