This role is critical to ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards (ASTM, AASHTO, CDOT), and overall quality assurance requirements. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in field testing, inspection, and construction practices, with the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy, documentation, and professional communication. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection Current certifications: ACI Field Testing Technician - Grade I WAQTC Embankment and Base Testing Technician

certifications Valid driver's license with excellent driving record Key Responsibilities Perform field testing and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards Conduct standard tests including: Concrete slump, air content, and temperature Density testing (nuclear gauge) for soils and asphalt Sampling for laboratory testing Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and contract requirements Identify non-compliant work and communicate findings clearly to project stakeholders Prepare accurate and timely field reports and documentation using company systems Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to resolve field issues efficiently Maintain compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements Preferred Experience / Skills Strong understanding of construction operations Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, and CDOT testing procedures Experience with masonry inspection is a plus Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and digital field data collection Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment with minimal supervision Strong communication and problem-solving skills
