  • Full-time We are seeking a skilled Silicone Casting Engineer to oversee the production of silicone and polyurethane components using gravity casting processes.
This role is responsible for developing and optimizing casting methods, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize silicone and polyurethane casting processes, including material selection, mold design, and process parameters Conduct trials and testing to improve product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness Design and refine molds based on part geometry, surface finish, and release requirements Partner with tooling vendors to ensure molds meet specifications and production timelines Establish and maintain quality control procedures, including inspection and testing protocols Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to increase yield and reduce waste Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance operational efficiency Create and maintain documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and process control plans Train production staff on casting processes and best practices Investigate defects and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field 3+ years of experience in silicone or polyurethane casting (gravity casting preferred) Strong knowledge of material properties, curing processes, and formulation basics Experience with mold design and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) Familiarity with quality systems such as
ISO 9001
is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities
