Job Description

Quality Engineer
BATON ROUGE, LA
QUALITY Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Engineer to be an integral part of our team. Epic takes pride in our quality of work and has a goal of building our workforce with the most talented employees.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Supporting Estimating Department:
Review specification when requested by Estimating department. Ensure cost impact is identified and provided to estimating. Fill in Customer questionnaire and provide copies of Certificates. Specification Review at
Job Award:
Review specifications, prepare specification review notes, and upload on the shared drive. Submit Weld and NDE procedures. Prepare ITP and submit. Upload approved procedures on shared drive and communicate to the Quality Assurance Manager. Identify new weld procedure requirements and provide it to Welding Engineer to run new procedure. Conduct audit for key project requirements to ensure implementation. Communicate with Welding Engineer, get weld map and weld procedures to submit to customer. Review JI and approve; Ensure all requirements are included. Attend kick-off meeting for the project & understand the project requirements. Publish approved Customer approved procedures to Job Folders. Issue and control customer approved procedures to work areas.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
2-3 years' experience in related field
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office
Certification/Licenses:
NACE Level II or III preferred
