job summary: Our client, a global commercial transport leader, is seeking a Metallurgy Failure Analysis in Hagerstown, MD expert to investigate material failures and improve product reliability. This role requires a Master's or PhD in Metallurgy, proficiency in SEM/EDS, and strong analytical skills. Apply today!

Hagerstown, Maryland job type: Contract salary: $42.10 - 50.00 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Masters responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive root cause analyses on failed components to identify underlying failure mechanisms like fatigue, creep, or corrosion.

Develop and execute destructive and non-destructive tests (NDT) to validate material performance and accurately replicate failure conditions.

Analyze and interpret complex test data and microscopic imagery to deeply understand material behavior and failure modes.

Prepare detailed technical reports and present critical findings to engineering, quality, and management teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across design and manufacturing to implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence and enhance overall product reliability.
