Job Description

Job Title:
Process Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to support and lead daily line support and continuous improvement initiatives. As the technical leader for the processes you support, you will make key decisions to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of manufacturing processes. You will evaluate current processes, materials, and equipment to ensure their compatibility with our operating philosophy. Responsibilities Maintain and update departmental labor standards for the area of ownership. Analyze processes to identify waste and assist in implementing recommendations. Determine and maintain capacity calculations based on equipment, labor resources, and standards. Assist in machine balancing for minimum cycle time. Implement and support lean practices across all value streams. Manage and own the preventative and predictive maintenance for applicable equipment and tooling. Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to assess the need for new equipment and perform justification calculations. Interact with vendors on new equipment and equipment specifications ensuring compatibility with existing facilities and operating philosophy. Provide Tool Engineering support in evaluating the feasibility of various material applications. Furnish input in determining material selection, assuring all comparisons of cost, performance, quality, and tooling are included in the selection. Essential Skills 2+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience. 3-5 years of process engineering experience. 3-5 years of experience in industrial assembly. Bachelor's degree in engineering. Experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Demonstrated knowledge of CAD/CAM software and MS Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications Lean and/or Six Sigma experience/certification is a plus. SAP experience preferred. Proficiency in Statistical Process Control and motion and time studies preferred. Project management experience. Experience writing work instructions. Experience with Bill of Materials. Work Environment This position operates on the 1st shift, with a flexible schedule option of four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days, depending on your preference. The work site is located at Golden Valley - Plant 1. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
