PM M-F Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor high temperature furnaces used for thermal treatments Prepare samples and fixtures according to established procedures and experimental requirements Execute test runs, track schedules, and ensure timely setup of equipment to support experimental plans Perform basic equipment checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting; escalate issues as needed Follow all safety, PPE, and operating procedures when working with high temperature equipment and molten glass materials Document work, record run conditions, and support data traceability in lab tracking systems Coordinate closely with scientists, engineers, and technicians to prioritize workload and adjust schedules as needed Support startup, development, and stabilization of additional lab equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemistry, geology, ceramics, or a related technical field Experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment involving process equipment, thermal systems, or materials handling preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow and document procedures precisely Comfort working independently in a hands?on, execution?focused role Willingness to work around high?temperature equipment and comply with strict safety requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience with high?temperature furnaces, heat treatment, ceramics, or glass processing Familiarity with laboratory documentation, test tracking, or LIMS systems Experience supporting fast-paced research or development labs with variable and fast changing priorities Ability to work effectively with scientists and engineers in a collaborative environment
