Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead engineer with experience in static equipment design and handling of ASME Certification related documentation as well able to provide response/ update documents/ revalidate design documents based on Inspection Agency's finding. Well versed in AMSE Sec
VIII, IX

WPS Development & Review:
  • Draft, revise, and validate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) in accordance with ASME Section IX.
  • Ensure WPS documents reflect current materials, welding processes, and joint configurations used in production. WPQR
  • Prepare and maintain Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) based on test results and inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with quality and engineering teams to ensure WPQRs are traceable and meet regulatory standards. WPQ
  • Facilitate welder performance qualification (WPQ) testing and documentation.
  • Ensure all welders are certified per applicable codes and maintain up-to-date records of qualifications.
Training & Compliance:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for welders and inspectors on ASME standards and internal procedures.
  • Conduct refresher sessions and onboarding for new personnel to ensure consistent understanding of welding compliance.
Audit & Documentation Support:
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits related to ASME certification.
  • Proficiency in design and calculation software (PV Elite, Compress, etc.)
  • Expertise in stress analysis, load calculations, and material compliance
  • Experience preparing PED technical dossiers and CE marking files
  • Identify gaps in current practices and recommend corrective actions to align with certification requirements.
Salary Range:
$64,000 - $125,000 a year #LI-CM2
