The path from the mine to active battery materials to recycling is one of the greatest engineering challenges of our time. It encompasses process development, chemical engineering, materials science, and materials engineering. We are looking for an awesome professional to you will drive key initiatives in battery recycling, active (i.e., anode), lithium refining and related metals and minerals technologies. You will de-risk, scale and deploy full technology stacks. To this end, we are looking for a professional cable of driving development efforts for a diverse array of materials projects. You will be responsible for conceiving and deploying state-of-the-art technology. The successful candidate will have diverse array of experience and demonstrate the ability to solve materials challenges that span molecular chemistry, and one or more of the following subjects: inorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, hydrometallurgy, metallurgy, ceramics, polymers, composite materials, anode materials, graphite, . You will be responsible for recognizing development challenges, identifying solutions, and delivering results in both laboratory and pilot and semi-works environments. You will collaborate effectively in large teams and excel at effectively communicating R D findings to all levels of the organization. What You'll Do Primary technical resource and point-of-contact for multiple technologies. This will include both lab and pilot activities Day-to-day lab or pilot operations: perform experiments; plan campaigns/experiments, report data, conduct paper studies Translate material and process learnings into actionable results such as process guidance, process design criteria or tangible materials improvements Ensure day-to-day process operation is safe, organized, and efficient. This will include assembling production plans, data collection strategies and report-out What You'll Bring Quantifiable lab or pilot experience with tangible results Degree or Equivalent Experience in Materials Science Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of two years industrial experience Externally verifiable track record of success. Examples include success in startup environments, high-impact research publications where you are the primary author or investigator, patents or (best) evidence of commercialized technology Evidence of resilience and adaptability.
