Job Description Responsibilities:
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using applied statistics, Six Sigma tools, and structured problem‑solving methodologies Plan, execute, and document multi‑phase validation runs to confirm new and existing processes meet performance requirements Develop and manage project charters, implementation plans, timelines, and resource requirements Act as a technical liaison between engineering, development, and operations teams Create product, process, and equipment specifications to ensure manufacturability Support transfer of new processes into production, including SOP development and operator training Establish and maintain control plans to sustain process gains over time Contribute to broader operational excellence and continuous improvement strategies MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant Ideal Candidate:
B.S. in Plastics, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline 5+ years of experience in plastics, polymer, textile, or converting manufacturing environments Strong background in process validation, DOE, SPC, and root cause analysis Hands‑on experience using statistical tools (Minitab preferred) Proven ability to manage engineering projects end‑to‑end Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally Comfortable supporting shop‑floor operations and change management What's on
