You will be the Materials and Process Engineer for the Materials Engineering team which is responsible for... What You Will Be Doing As the Materials and Process Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, designing, and developing materials and their fabrication processes to support engineering designs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Analyze and develop material specifications and processing methods for metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials. Design and optimize fabrication and assembly processes aligned with system requirements. Perform material property analysis, failure analysis, life prediction, and define design allowables. Develop quality engineering specifications and ensure compliance with processing standards. Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures. Basic Qualifications:
4 year BS degree in engineering, chemistry, or physics or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills:
MS degree in materials science and engineering, chemistry, or physics Experience working in a materials test laboratory
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
