Job Description:
The Materials and Processes Engineering team is seeking MP&P Engineer 2 professionals to support the Puget Sound NDE and Measurement Systems organization. This role supports commercial and defense aircraft programs across the full product lifecycle, including research, development, production, and in-service support. The engineer will develop NDE procedures, design reference standards, support tool qualification, and assist with supplier audits and corrective actions. This position is first shift and 100 onsite with potential domestic travel.

          First Shift Education & Job Requirements
          • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and typically 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
          • A minimum of 1 year of engineering experience. Professional Attributes
          • Strong interest in non-destructive evaluation work with a general base of NDE knowledge and/or experience.
          • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
          • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as a self-starter. Preferred Skills
          • Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
          • Experience with NDI systems, including ultrasonics and eddy current.
          • Experience in aviation and/or aerospace.
          • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
          • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
          • Strong time management skills to manage multiple simultaneous projects across various geographical locations.
          • Knowledge of materials science with metals and/or composites. Job Duties & Functions
          • Develop NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections.
          • Design NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures.
          • Develop engineering specifications and supporting documentation.
          • Assist in the evaluation of emerging technologies for potential business applications.
          • Assist with the development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
          • Perform routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
          • Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
          • Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
          • Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN, and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design, and qualification activities, work procedures, and laboratory and office environments. TeamGlobal Benefits
