Job Description

Make an Impact Where It Matters At Heiden, we build high-quality custom metal fabrication products that our customers depend on every day. Welding is a critical part of what we do, and this role plays a key part in keeping production moving and quality high. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands welding, leads from the floor, and wants to be part of a growing, fast-paced environment. While strong welding knowledge is required, this role is focused on leading the team, supporting production, and providing technical guidance. Why You'll Want to Work Here Competitive pay & full benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays) Locally owned, stable company Hands-on leadership role with real impact Opportunity to build, improve, and lead a strong welding team What You'll Be Doing A Day in the Life Lead and support welding and fabrication team members on a daily basis Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and meets quality standards Act as the go-to resource for welding processes, prints, and technical questions Coordinate workflow with Operations, Scheduling, and Engineering Monitor labor, identify bottlenecks, and keep production moving Drive improvements in weld quality, consistency, and efficiency Support training and development of welders across skill levels Participate in troubleshooting and resolving production or quality issues What Success Looks Like Production flows smoothly with minimal disruptions Team members are trained, supported, and working efficiently Issues are identified early and resolved quickly Continuous improvements are being made across welding processes What We're Looking For 5+ years of leadership experience in a welding or fabrication environment 5+ years of hands-on welding experience (MIG/TIG - steel, aluminum, stainless) Strong ability to read and interpret prints and weld symbols Proven ability to lead teams, make decisions, and hold others accountable Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on shop environment Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft Office AWS certifications or formal training a plus Who You Are You lead by example and support your team from the floor You take ownership and make decisions to keep things moving You communicate well across teams and shifts You focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement You enjoy working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
