Must have a minimum of two years' experience in the design, development, and integration of aircraft hydraulic/ pneumatic/ mechanical systems, with two years of overseeing design and development of engineering projects. Requires experience in accomplishing airworthiness, loads, stress, and weight and balance analysis in support of systems integration. Requires experience necessary to perform the following tasks: 1) Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems for C-130 Special Mission Aircraft undergoing heavy depot level maintenance and modification . 2) Perform in all phases of hardware design, development, integration/implementation, and analysis. 3) Plan and conduct engineering feasibility studies for the design improvement modifications and implementation of advanced technologies. 4) Develop standards and guidelines for tasks being performed including the generation of Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria (TACC) or the modification of such criteria in the Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC). 5) Develop structural and corrosion repairs. Education and Experience requirements Master's or Doctorate degree in Mech Engineering (ABET highly desired) and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD or other
USG ISR/SOF
Organizations. OR Bachelor's degree in Mech Engineering (ABET highly desired) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD or other

Physical Requirements This position frequently requires ascending/descending aircraft crew doors, aircraft stands - ascending/descending flight deck ladders, work stand ladders and common ladders, entering, exiting, working and crawling in confined spaces. Walking on wings, in cargo bays and in hangars where their are trip hazards, sharp edges and cords/hoses laying on floors, cargo decks,, wing stands and fight decks and falling objects.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Work Environment:
Combination of desk work (computer) and frequently working in an industrial work setting and as mentioned above accessing everywhere on an aircraft. Noise protection and goggles/safety glasses must be worn in designated work areas.
