Mechanical Engineer Technology Service Corporation Defense Services tuition reimbursement, 401(k) United States, Alabama, Huntsville May 12, 2026 TSC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer based in Huntsville, AL This position supports the Radar & Precision Weapons Development Operations. TSC Alabama Operation Highlights TSC's Radar and Precision Weapons Development Division provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. The company has developed products ranging from chip-level, application-specific, integrated circuits (ASIC) to complete, turnkey radar and communication systems. TSC has established a state-of-the-art hardware capability that is well respected by customers in Government and Industry. TSC also provides full spectrum systems engineering support including theoretical analysis, requirements generation, interface control, and test planning/execution/data analysis.
Responsibilities:
This position requires a flexible individual with experience in the mechanical design and packaging of electronics systems such as high density airborne or ruggedized electronics assemblies in support of radars/sensors, missile seekers and communications systems. Design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic packaging for use in Mil/Aero applications Model components and systems as well as create drawing packages for fabrication Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) techniques on both new and existing products to produce optimal design and manufacturing solutions Support vibration and thermal testing Maintain responsibility of product from concept to production Interface with customers and vendors to ensure product/component performance is to customer specifications and to appropriate standardsRequired Qualifications:
B.S in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university 3-7 years of commensurate industry experience in analysis, design, and packaging of electronics hardware and/or systems Capable of balancing product design for manufacturability and cost attributes against product form-fit-function and thermal attributes to achieve the best mix for each unique product and customer requirement Basic understanding of machining and electronic system manufacturing processes Understanding and Application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience designing in SolidWorks Ability to read and generate mechanical drawings Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro-E, or other 3D modeling software Experience with military electronics packaging including RF, microwave, analog or digital assemblies and subassemblies Knowledge of PLM, PDM, and configuration control process Knowledge of military finishes Familiar withDynamic and Thermal Testing TSC Benefits:
