Project Engineer III Montgomery, AL, United States and 1 more Be the First to Apply Job Description The Project Engineer III is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments using the Product Development Process (PDP) as a guide to achieve project objectives for New Product Development projects. Responsible for product maintenance, cost improvement, quality improvement and similar projects. Directs and coordinates a project team in the planning, organization, implementation, and completion of engineering project assignments. This position will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL . Responsibilities Perform engineering design evaluations to ensure project feasibility and compliance with industry standards. Work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance Provide technical support throughout the engineering process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges. Design, implement, and communicate an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather resources necessary to complete the project. Prepare engineering designs and work specifications. Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. 5 years of related experience in Engineering and Manufacturing. Proven work experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role. Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software. Proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with industry rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards. Ability to work with multiple discipline projects. Strong project management and supervision skills.
HOW TO STAND OUT
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Knowledge of gas combustion principles. Knowledge of heat pump design and heat exchanger optimization. Knowledge of HVAC design principles and vapor compression. Knowledge of analysis & system development tools (e.g. ANSYS/Fluent, ANSYS/Mechanical, MATLAB, LabView, Pro/e, EnergyPlus, GT-SUITE, etc.) As a leader at Rheem, how you achieve results is as important as the results you achieve.
