Welspun's Little Rock facilities are state-of-the-art and one of their kinds in technology for producing pipes for oil and gas. The Spiral mill has diversified sizes ranging from 24 to 60 inches as outer diameter (OD) and 0.23 to 1 inch as wall thickness (WT), as well as coating and double jointing capabilities, our facilities provide a one-stop solution to valued oil and gas customers in and around the United States. We are now hiring skilled engineers to help build a new LSAW plant that will include a pipe mill with a coating facility and a double-joint process. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex systems that drive our cutting-edge project. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing performance, ensuring reliability, and advancing technological solutions across diverse engineering disciplines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects that push the boundaries of engineering innovation while fostering your professional growth in a collaborative environment. Design and develop electrical, mechanical, automation, and hydraulic systems using industry-standard CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Create detailed schematics and system designs incorporating components like PCB layouts, FPGA configurations, SoC integration, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot system issues efficiently and implement corrective actions to enhance system reliability. Develop firmware and software solutions utilizing languages such as C++, Python, Perl, MATLAB, SystemVerilog, and scripting for automation tasks. Perform system testing and validation through simulation (Simulink), signal processing techniques, vision inspection systems, and debugging hardware/software interfaces. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet NEC standards and surface mount technology (SMT) assembly requirements. Support project scheduling activities by planning milestones, resource allocation, and tracking progress to meet project deadlines effectively. Engage in system design reviews and provide technical guidance on electrical engineering principles including schematics creation and electrical systems integration. Utilize tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing and soldering techniques for hardware assembly or repair. Contribute to quantum engineering initiatives by applying advanced knowledge of electronics and system design where applicable. Proficiency in FPGA development, SystemVerilog, PCB design, and SoC architecture. Strong background in electrical systems design with experience in schematics creation using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit. Hands-on experience with microcontrollers like ARM-based platforms (Arduino) and programming languages including C++, Python, Perl, MATLAB. Familiarity with signal processing techniques, vision inspection systems, surface mount technology (SMT), soldering skills, and debugging hardware/software issues. Knowledge of manufacturing standards including NEC codes and surface mount assembly processes. Experience with project scheduling methodologies to manage multiple engineering tasks efficiently. Mechanical engineering expertise complemented by skills in Revit or MicroStation for mechanical system modeling; SolidWorks for detailed component design. Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex electrical or mechanical failures using diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeter or oscilloscopes. Familiarity with firmware development for embedded systems involving ARM processors or Arduino platforms. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on electrical engineering principles like system design and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
