$80,000•100,000 + bonus/profit sharing + full benefits About the Opportunity A leading advanced manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support and improve highly automated production systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is hands-on and focused on mechanical design, process optimization, automation support, and continuous improvement initiatives within a modern manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving complex engineering problems, collaborating cross-functionally with operations and maintenance teams, and driving improvements in equipment reliability, throughput, and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design, improve, and maintain mechanical systems supporting automated manufacturing operations Perform engineering calculations, analysis, simulations, and troubleshooting activities Develop and implement mechanical design modifications to improve efficiency, reliability, and cycle times Utilize CAD and 3D modeling tools for equipment and component design Collaborate with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to optimize manufacturing processes Support automation initiatives involving industrial sensors, PLCs, and related systems Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for manufacturing issues Create and maintain engineering documentation, process documentation, and project plans Participate in continuous improvement efforts using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Ensure projects progress according to timelines and operational objectives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, automation, or product development preferred Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D CAD platforms Strong mechanical troubleshooting and analytical skills Familiarity with industrial automation systems, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment Work Environment & Benefits Modern manufacturing facility with climate-controlled work areas Strong opportunities for advancement and long-term career growth Monthly profit-sharing program Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage 401(k) program Paid holidays and PTO Safety shoe and safety glasses allowance Additional Information This is a fully on-site position supporting manufacturing operations Sponsorship is not available for this role Local or regional candidates are strongly preferred due to on-site responsibilities #LP
