Job Description:
Microchip's MCU group offers microcontrollers which rightly balances the performance, power and cost that comes with advanced security capabilities which caters to a multitude of applications. With a broad set of peripherals and interfaces, these MCUs can support a wide range of applications. Point of sales systems, home and industrial automation systems, automotive infotainment etc. are just a few among various supported end uses. As a DFT Engineer in the MCU group, you will work with our multi-sited global Silicon Development Team in design and development of complex SoCs. The work will include DFT specification implementation and verification, as well as, supporting post silicon bring up. This position requires a proactive and highly motivated candidate with a proven record of success in a multi-site and multi-functional team environment. Candidate must have at least 10+ years of experience in DFT.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years experience Implement Design-for-Test (DFT) methodologies for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs using industry-standard flows Generate and verify test patterns to ensure comprehensive test coverage Contribute to the development and review of SoC test specifications Support test engineering teams in production test debugging and continuous improvement activities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize design workflows Address design challenges proactively to support the achievement of quality and reliability objectives Excellent understanding of Design For Test (Scan, ATPG, Memory Bist, Boundary Scan, PHY/IOs test) Working experience with Tessent Siemens flow for SCAN , Memory BIST & Boundary Scan Understanding of
JTAG/IJTAG/1500/1687/1149.1
networks Good knowledge in hierarchical DFT including ICL and PDL generation Working experience in Test pattern development, simulation, and debug Good knowledge in hardware description languages (e.g. Verilog, VHDL, Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog) Previous experience and proficiency in any one of commonly used scripting languages (Perl, Python , ..) Knowledge of revision control mechanisms Superior Written and Verbal Communication skills Experience working with cross functional global teams Preferred Skills Experience with Equivalence Checking tool (Cadence LEC), Synthesis and Static timing analysis, CDC experience. Experience with Synospsys tools :
DC, TMAX
will be also appreciated. Experience with QUESTA, Xcelium Experience with data management systems (e.g., Subversion, DesignSync) Knowledge of Functional Safety / ISO26262 standards
