Description:
You will be the Depot Level Repair Technician for the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (MTADS/M PNVS
) Team. Our team restores, upgrades, and sustains critical night vision and targeting hardware that keeps warfighters safe and mission ready around the globe. What You Will Be Doing As the Depot Level Repair Technician you will be responsible for executing high precision repairs, modifications, and refurbishments of mechanical, structural, optical, and electro optical subsystems. You'll work directly onM TADS/M PNVS
components, perform detailed fault isolation, and verify that every repaired part meets exact engineering tolerances before returning to the customer.Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, structural, and optical failures using oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, waveform generators, and other test equipment.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to isolate defective parts and determine corrective actions.
- Performing precision repairs and rework on components with milling machines, drill presses, and hand tools.
- Conducting acceptance testing and documenting results in our automated maintenance data collection system, following Apache Fire Control processes.
- Following Repair Center Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs) to ensure compliance with all engineering specifications and tolerances.
- Measuring finished work with precision gauges and metrology tools to verify adherence to design limits.
- Providing technical feedback on electro mechanical and electro optical parts that drives reliability improvements across the product line.
- Handling hazardous materials safely, using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Supporting limited supply duties such as loading/unloading trucks and operating overhead hoists when needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline, or Equivalent work/school experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in repairs of electro-mechanical and electro-optical assemblies
- Knowledge of basic avionics and electronics principles
- Experience with CCA component rework and repair
- Knowledge of trouble-shooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment
- Knowledge of the operation of general purpose and/or automated test equipment
- Knowledge of the interpretation of engineering drawings, schematics, and test and repair procedures
- Familiarity with industrial standards, military specifications and industry processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
- Ability to understand policies and procedures for the use and control of Government property
- Ability to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to mix and weigh chemicals
- Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Ability to obtain a D.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of automated and/or general purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) used in a depot
- Knowledge of fault isolation for electro-mechanical and electro-optical components
- Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair
- Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards
