Job Description

Electro-Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing, validating, and developing LED luminaires and lighting solutions using SolidWorks, electrical design tools, and applicable industry standards. Job Requirements Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 5 years of product design experience 3 years of product design experience in the lighting field accepted Experience designing LED luminaires or lighting solutions SolidWorks design and rendering experience Ability to interpret technical standards Experience creating technical specifications Experience with OrCAD or equivalent schematic design software Experience generating schematics and Gerber files Experience with injection molded plastic design Experience with die cast design Experience with sheet metal design Knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes Experience with relational databases Microsoft database experience MAS 500 experience Knowledge of UL and IEC standards Preferred Skills CSWP certification Experience developing new lighting product designs Experience validating electro-mechanical product designs Experience designing products for compliance with UL and IEC standards Experience constructing luminaires to customer specifications Experience supporting product integrity and compliance requirements Job Responsibilities Design and develop new LED luminaires and lighting solutions Create technical specifications for lighting products Design parts, assemblies, and renderings in SolidWorks Generate schematics and Gerber files using OrCAD or equivalent software Construct luminaires to meet customer specifications Design components using injection molded plastic, die cast, and sheet metal methods Apply manufacturing methods and processes to product design Interpret UL, IEC, and related technical standards Validate product designs for performance, compliance, and product integrity Collaborate with internal departments to support product development, manufacturing, and compliance needs Maintain design information using relational database systems
