If you are a passionate self-starter with exceptional technical and problem-solving skills who likes to take on a variety of responsibilities, Tri Star Design is a perfect place to grow your career. This is not a remote position. Must live in Arizona. Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to perform engineering calculations, ensure performance, safety, and compliance to applicable regulations of the products and projects you are assigned to. You will need hands on mechanical aptitude, must have the able to work collaboratively, and be willing to uphold our company values. Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, you will: Work directly with the customer and with the sales team to develop marketable designs and products that include machining, welding, fabrication, hydraulics, and electronics. Participate in brainstorming activities to develop concepts and solutions. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering team members to develop innovative solutions. Prepare estimates and budgets for potential and current design solutions. Work with vendors and contractors when technical support is required. Track and document design process and project development. Meet project completion expectations and design quotas. Use Autodesk Inventor to develop 3-D models, perform strength analysis, and perform function analysis of products and components. Perform stress/strain and other calculations on product designs and test and validate new designs. Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications. Design and construct prototypes for beta testing, customer demonstration, and validation of the design's manufacturability. Oversee manufacturing and perform quality control to ensure product is built to specifications. Develop user manuals, installation instructions, and other pertinent documentation for projects. Participate with the customer in the installation, initial use, and training of the projects. Provide ongoing product support.
Required Qualifications:
4-year engineering degree from accredited university. Established mathematical ability in calculus, trigonometry, and statistics. Firm understanding of engineering concepts. Ability to travel internationally as required for project support. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or another 3-D CAD program. Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, casting, forging, welding, hydraulics, fabrication, and electronics. Proficiency in MS office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in construction, management, or other industry. Willing to travel to customer sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience Experience designing mechanical systems and products. Strong technical writing skills FEA Analysis experience. Experience in mining or heavy industry. Experience managing projects from design to completion.
Schedule:
Tri Star offers a 4 day 10 hour schedule.
Compensation Salary DOE:
commensurate with experience
