This role focuses on creating innovative solutions and enhancing existing products to meet stringent commercial, military, and FAA standards. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with significant ownership and visibility across the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies based on customer and internal requirements Serve as a technical point of contact for customers, supporting inquiries and application needs Create preliminary concepts, layouts, and cost estimates for new product development initiatives Apply relevant industry and regulatory standards to designs and manufacturing processes Oversee fabrication and assembly activities to ensure performance, quality, and compliance Perform structural analysis and validation to support certification and product integrity Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings and bills of materials Utilize GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) to define part geometry and tolerances Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams Identify technical risks early and implement effective solutions throughout development Support FAA certification efforts and ensure products meet airworthiness requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience (10+ years preferred) Aerospace or aircraft-related experience strongly preferred Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and design Strong knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, and injection molding Ability to interpret complex specifications and translate them into functional designs Hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams Strong organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Experience Background in aerospace safety systems or mechanical restraint systems Familiarity with FAA certification processes Experience working in highly regulated industries Work Environment Onsite position in Phoenix, AZ Collaborative team environment with opportunities for ownership and growth #GRP2 Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
