Job Description

Mechanical engineering role focused on aerospace hardware design, structural analysis, GD&T documentation, manufacturing support, and FAA airworthiness certification. Job Requirements Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent technical experience Minimum 3 years of professional mechanical engineering experience SolidWorks proficiency AutoCAD proficiency Independent design and 3D modeling experience Aerospace mechanisms or safety restraint hardware experience

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing experience Experience interpreting technical specifications and integrating requirements into mechanical designs Machining process knowledge Injection molding process knowledge Sheet metal fabrication knowledge Structural analysis experience Product safety and structural reliability review experience Drawing package and bill of materials management experience Preferred Skills FAA certification process experience FAA airworthiness certification experience Aerospace hardware certification experience Cost estimating experience Manufacturing and purchasing coordination experience Industrial and governmental standards experience Responsibilities Generate mechanical designs based on internal and external specifications Serve as technical liaison for customer inquiries and design requirements Develop preliminary concepts for new initiatives Prepare cost estimates for new initiatives Select and apply relevant industrial and governmental standards to manufacturing processes Provide fabrication and assembly oversight for quality and performance requirements Report timeline and budget impacts to leadership Review products for safety and structural reliability Manage drawing packages and bills of materials according to

standards Validate designs through structural analysis Coordinate with manufacturing and purchasing teams to support producible hardware Identify design, manufacturing, quality, and performance issues during development Support FAA airworthiness certification for aerospace hardware
