  • Semi Conductor is responsible for mechanical engineering design and technical execution for a new semiconductor facility in Arizona.
The role focuses on mechanical systems and equipment associated with UPW, WWTP, ZLD, utilities, and process support systems. This position leads mechanical design activities from concept through construction, supports procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning, and collaborates closely with process, electrical, I&C, civil, structural, vendors, and construction teams. Extensive experience in mechanical systems for water/wastewater and EPC projects is required. The Senior Mechanical Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and acts as a key technical authority for mechanical design deliverables. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably within EPC projects Water/wastewaterindustry experience strongly preferred Strong experience with piping systems, rotating equipment, and mechanical utilities Experience supporting construction and commissioning phases

EPC project execution mindset Strong cross-discipline coordination skills Clear technical communication with clients, vendors, and construction teams Ability to work in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments High attention to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance Ability to work on-site in Arizona asrequiredduring different project phases Lead mechanical engineering design development for a new build semiconductor plant, including UPW, WWTP, ZLD, and utility systems.
Develop and review:
Mechanical layouts and equipment arrangement drawings Piping design, isometrics, and pipe specifications Equipment selection and prepare data sheets (valves, pumps, air-blowers, tanks, cartridge filters, heat exchangers, filters, skids, etc.) Material selection and corrosion allowances Mechanical calculations (pipe sizing, pipe stress, friction losses, equipment sizing, equipment static and dynamic calculations, atmospheric tank calculation, pressurized vessels calculation) Review equipment design and calculations provided by equipment suppliers and subcontractors Ensure mechanical designs comply with: Owner & Contract specifications Applicable US codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, AWWA, etc.) EPC Project Execution Interface with process, electrical, I&C, and civil disciplines to ensure fully integrated design. Support vendor technical evaluations, bid reviews, and equipment selection from a mechanical perspective. Review vendor drawings and data sheets for compliance with specifications Provide technical input during procurement, fabrication, and FAT activities Support constructability reviews, installation sequencing, and field engineering activities Participate in HAZOP, safety, and design reviews Construction & Commissioning (Startup) Support Provide mechanical engineering support during construction, including: Responses to RFIs and evaluation of field changes Support for redline markups and as-built documentation Mechanical system walkdowns and punch list resolution Support system turnover, commissioning, and start-up activities Technical Leadership Act as a mechanical technical authority for UPW, WWTP, ZLD, and utility systems Mentor junior mechanical engineers and review their deliverables Coordinate with client engineering teams, vendors, and fab operations stakeholders Cooperate closely with senior engineers for Process and Electrical, I&C and Civil disciplines Report progress, risks, and technical issues to the
