Position Description Developing and designing packaging equipment and materials for the safe, convenient, and attractive transport of goods under various conditions. Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required types of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility, and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety, and special-handling requirements. Evaluating packaging and transportation methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Assessing and recommending efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and the utilization of sealing and fastening devices. Educational/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field with at least 2 years of industry experience; or Associate's degree in packaging or related field with 4+ years of packaging industry experience.
