Position Description Developing and designing packaging equipment and materials for the safe, convenient, and attractive transport of goods under various conditions. Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required types of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility, and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety, and special-handling requirements. Evaluating packaging and transportation methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Assessing and recommending efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and the utilization of sealing and fastening devices. Educational/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field with at least 2 years of industry experience; or Associate's degree in packaging or related field with 4+ years of packaging industry experience. Minimum of 2+ years' experience in regulated industry packaging design and development. Proficiency in designing and verifying packaging solutions per
ISO 11607
standards. Experience with packaging testing, failure analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA). Strong understanding of packaging verification and validation processes. Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to optimize packaging utility and safety.
Pay:
$75.00 - $77.00 per hour
