Your responsibilities will include the review of drawings for manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to industry and internal standards; verify geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to ensure proper fit at next-level assembly; and review 3D model integrity to ensure accurate translation to CAD and CAM tools. You will act as a technical lead for less experienced engineers supporting you. You will also lead continuous improvement efforts including knowledge capture, design standards, tools and process improvements. You will report directly to our engineering leadership, and you'll work out of our Tempe, AZ, Torrance, CA or South Bend, IN location. This position is within the Mechanical Design, Technical Validation & Standards team, part of Aerospace Engineering and Technology, Control Systems (CS) organization.
