The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes in accordance with customer requirements, engineering standards, and quality system requirements. This role supports product development, production operations, and continuous improvement initiatives by applying sound engineering principles to ensure functionality, manufacturability, and reliability. The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in supporting engineering excellence and operational success.

Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Proficiency in CAD modeling and engineering documentation. Strong problemsolving and root cause analysis abilities. Effective communication and crossfunctional collaboration skills. Attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance.
Essential Functions:
Design & Engineering Support:
Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software. Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and bills of material. Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and tolerance studies. Support design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).
Manufacturing & Production Support:
Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations. Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions. Support new product introductions, prototypes, and first article builds. Develop and maintain engineering documentation and work instructions.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure designs and processes comply with ISO9001/AS9100 and customer requirements. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming products. Participate in design reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Program teams. Support customer technical inquiries and engineering changes. Communicate design intent, risks, and changes effectively.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability. Support implementation of process improvements and engineering best practices.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills): Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required. 37 years of mechanical engineering experience preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and mechanical systems. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods since this role may require occasional visits to the production floor to observe processes or gather data, candidates should be able to stand or walk for periods of time in a manufacturing environment. Fine motor skills and manual dexterity required for tasks such as data entry, handling documents, and using various analytical tools or equipment that may be part of cost analysis processes. The ability to read and interpret detailed data, charts, spreadsheets, and technical information on computer screens and paper documents. This includes viewing production processes and materials closely during audits or assessments. Ability to Lift and Carry up to 20
Pounds:
Though not a physically demanding job, occasional lifting and carrying of equipment, files, or documents may be required, especially during onsite reviews or when working with productionrelated materials.
