Mechanical Design Engineer I — SolidWorks / Manufacturing Focus Bakersfield, CA About the Role Western Valve is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support design and manufacturing operations. This role focuses on creating, updating, and improving mechanical parts, assemblies, and tooling using SolidWorks while working directly with our production team. Requirements

• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks
• Mechanical design background in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of CNC machining and shop processes
• Solid problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach Preferred Skills
• Experience designing fixtures, tooling, or workholding
• Familiarity with G-code or CNC programming
• Experience with Mastercam or other CAM software
• Background in machining (manual or CNC)
• General manufacturing or shop-floor experience Schedule
• On-site position
• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM
• 4:00 PM Compensation & Benefits Pay rate: The base salary range for this role is $70,000
• $90,000.

The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education and certifications. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
