Job Description:

We are looking for a System Integration Engineer for a Semiconductor Company i n Santa Clara, CA. This will be a 6-months contract role. Typical work split is ~2/3 hands-on machinery testing, characterizing, troubleshooting, and ~1/3 documentation of procedures, tests, and best practices.

Qualifications:

BSME

• 10+ years in Semiconductor equipment, material handling, automation and robotics (solar and disk drives) SolidWorks, EPDM, Documentation, GD&T, Tolerance Stack-Up Strong hands-on experience testing, characterization, troubleshooting of complex automation equipment Experience in developing and documenting test procedures, test data, SOP's, best practices Strong familiarity in mechatronics/automation design (motor sizing, actuator design, sensor selection, etc.

) Industrial automation and control systems (VFD and servo drives, multi-axis robots, PLCs) a plus Experience with optics, lasers, x-rays, lenses a plus

Responsibilities:

Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across predominantly Mechanical, but also Electrical and Controls domains. Define critical aspects of machine performance and develop corresponding tests and tuning methods. Collaborate with cross functional teams

• including mechanical, electrical, optical, and software engineers to resolve integration and performance issues. Develop and execute detailed hardware test procedures
• from subsystem acceptance tests to system-level validation
• ensuring performance meets design and reliability requirements.

Collect, analyze, and interpret test data, identifying trends, deviations, and opportunities for design or process improvements.
