  • Full-time Looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer with a solid background in mechanical engineering principles, Solid Modeling, and GD&T, and who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment designing Autoclave systems for the Aerospace industry.
Responsibilities:
Design and create (CAD) solid model structures, mechanisms, components, and assemblies using Solid Works. Create detailed layout, assembly, and installation drawings using Solid Works and AutoCAD following standard Engineering practices and GD&T standards. Create detailed shop fabrication drawings following standard Engineering practices and GD&T standards. Support the design of pressure vessels and their components in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and AISC. Perform engineering hand calculations for stress, strain and deflection analysis as needed and requested. Support, develop, and carry out Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of structures, mechanisms, and pressure vessels. Support work engineering process calculations for designing and sizing heaters, cooling coils, fans, and motors. These include heating loads, cooling loads, and flow analyses, among others. Design process equipment for thermal loads. Perform heat transfer analysis calculations. Interact with shop and field crews to ensure engineering drawings are satisfactory for fabrication purposes, and to find improvements to designs and/or drawings. Interact with vendors and suppliers to integrate their products/supplies and ensure these meet the company's engineering needs. Work independently with minimal supervision, completing projects and meeting deadlines accordingly. Collaborate and be a team-player within the organization and learn and support other engineering areas. Participate in the research and development of new technology and improvements. Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, & Skills): Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or similar degree, from ABET accredited school. 2 years of experience designing structural and mechanical components and creating detailed fabrication drawings. 2 years of experience with FEA. 2 years of experience with hand calculations for stress. 2 years of structural design and analysis experience. Experience with Solid Works and AutoCAD. Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual. Quick learner with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Ansys Fluent for CFD. Experience with Heat Transfer and Flow Analysis. Autoclave / pressure vessel design experience. Experience using Compress software
Annual Salary Range :
$65k
  • $80k
