Job Description

Within Fender Musical Instruments Corporation's ("FMIC") global Manufacturing team, we are focused on delivering operational excellence to the business and our customers by promoting collaboration, building trust, and setting high standards. Our mission is to support and enable the makers who fuel the pursuit of musical expression. We are always looking to connect with talented Engineers to support our growing manufacturing and operations teams in Corona, CA. This posting is intended to build a pipeline of strong engineering talent across multiple disciplines including Manufacturing, Quality, Process, Automation, and Environmental Health & Safety. A Fender is more than an instrument; it's a cultural symbol that resonates globally. Essential Functions Engineers at Fender play a key role in supporting production, improving processes, and enabling innovation across the factory. Depending on the role and team, responsibilities may include: Supporting and improving manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, quality, and throughput Identifying and implementing process improvements using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies Troubleshooting production issues and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions Collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Product Development Supporting new product introduction and process validation activities Developing and maintaining documentation such as work instructions, standard work, and process controls Evaluating and implementing new equipment, tooling, or automation technologies Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and drive decisions Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams without direct authority Strong communication and organizational skills Hands-on mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment Preferred but not required: Experience with process improvement tools (DMAIC, A3, PFMEA, etc.) Exposure to automation, controls, or production systems Bilingual English/Spanish Experience in high-volume or consumer products manufacturing Why Fender Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world's leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers, and distributors, whose portfolio of brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, and Charvel®, among others.
