Job Requirements El Segundo, CA Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Tool Engineer 1 - El Segundo, CA 12 month contract, to $43.50/hr Position is for an aerospace/defense client. United States citizenship and the ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret security clearance are required. Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred. Aerospace/defense client is looking for an Engineer Tool 1 to support their Tool Design department. As a member of the Tool Design department you'll be responsible for the designs of assembly and fabrication tooling. This position will serve on-site at our El Segundo facility. Responsibilities Designs industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements. Basic Qualifications for Engineer Tool 1
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM related field with experience in engineering, design, tooling, fabrication, or manufacturing/production environment
- Experience utilizing Siemens
NX/CATIA CAD
tools or applicable 3D CAD systems- Experience in project management
- Ability to Read/understand blueprints/GD&T in accordance with
ASME 14.5
- Ability to work in a high pace environment
- Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Tool 1
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Experience with Aerospace Tooling
- 1 year of Experience working with SAP
- Experience standing up production assembly line or cost center This position is intended to be contracted to hire.
