We are building the vehicles, infrastructure, and operational expertise that connect and protect assets across the Earth-Moon system.' Who We're Looking For Quantum Space is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with deep expertise in vacuum systems to lead the development and operation of vacuum test infrastructure. This role is critical to validating spacecraft hardware in relevant environments and requires strong hands-on and analytical capability. Where You'll Make an Impact Design and develop vacuum test systems and infrastructure Define requirements for vacuum performance, instrumentation, and control Own vacuum system operation during test campaigns Troubleshoot leaks, contamination, and system performance issues Develop vacuum test procedures and verification plans Support integration of hardware into vacuum environments Specify and integrate pumps, valves, gauges, and control systems Collaborate with mechanical and AI&T teams to ensure test readiness What It Takes BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field 5-10+ years of experience with vacuum systems Deep knowledge of high/ultra-high vacuum systems and components Experience with leak detection (helium mass spectrometry) Experience operating and troubleshooting vacuum systems Strong hands-on lab/test experience Work location within the LA area Nice-to-Have Experience Experience with spacecraft or aerospace testing Familiarity with LabVIEW, Python, or data acquisition systems Experience with thermal vacuum testing What You'll Get Ownership

Location :
Hawthorne, CA Compensation :
$125,000 to $180,000 Annual Salary Depending on Experience Additional Requirements To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
