Job Description

Senior Tooling Engineer - Huntington Beach, CA (Onsite) An exciting aerospace company is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to support the design and development of manufacturing tooling and assembly fixtures for a cutting-edge aerospace program. This role will partner closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to bring complex airframe structures from prototype through production.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design tooling, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing aids for trim, drill, and assembly operations Create 3D CAD models and drawings using NX (preferred) Support tooling from concept through fabrication, vendor management, and final inspection Design and validate fixtures used for locating, bonding, and fastening large structural assemblies Utilize laser trackers and dimensional inspection equipment to verify tooling accuracy Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and external vendors to improve manufacturability, ergonomics, and production efficiency Support prototype builds and integration activities in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For:
7+ years of tooling engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience Strong NX and GD&T experience Hands-on experience designing assembly fixtures and manufacturing tooling Experience supporting prototype and production environments Exposure to full vehicle integration efforts Nice to
Have:
Composite tooling experience Laser tracker programming and dimensional inspection experience Fibersim or Composite Workbench experience Experience with 3D printers or CNC routers Passion for aviation and eVTOL technologies If you're interested in helping shape the future of aerospace manufacturing, we'd love to connect.
