Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Associate Test Engineer - Onsite position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Milpitas, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Pay Range:
$30.25 - $36.30 per hour based on experience We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer for a manufacturing environment, involved with testing new technologies including optics, opto-mechanical assemblies, and electrical/PCB systems. This role will work on moderately complex assignments requiring judgment to resolve problems. The shift for this position is 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with overtime required.
Responsibilities:
Maintain tool schedules and complete alignment processes per defined test times Support tool progression priorities Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, wafer/reticle handlers, and/or final systems Determine and may develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and complete rework as a result of testing Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment May provide work assignment direction and technical training to peers
Requirements:
Hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair Ability to work in a clean room environment is required Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements, test specifications and test results Able to use and manipulate a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers Work effectively across different functional teams in different locations Demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English Demonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization Dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision Technical Certificate, or AS degree, or military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience Demonstrated ability to work with little or no instruction on routine work, and with general instructions on new assignments Demonstrate the ability to use a variety of testing and measuring instruments A willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement Able to work extended hours, including weekends Able to stand, sit, bend, climb, and periodically lift 30 pounds without assistance Desired skills: A BSME, BSEET or similar degree in an engineering discipline is strongly preferred Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
