Job Description:
We are seeking an Entry-Mid Level Mechanical Test Engineer with a strong hands-on ("wrenching") mindset to support mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex systems. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, building and fixing equipment, and solving real-world mechanical problems. The position focuses on practical application over theory, with opportunities to gain exposure to optical systems and advanced testing environments.
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical assembly, integration, and testing of components and systems Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and system-level issues using structured and logical approaches Execute testing procedures and follow standard operating processes (SOPs) Support optical system alignment and calibration (training provided) Interpret basic technical drawings, instructions, and work procedures Document test results, findings, and corrective actions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve build and test processes
Experience:
Hands-on experience with digital and analog assemblies, including system integration, testing, and validation Strong capability in system-level troubleshooting, with the ability to identify root causes across mechanical and electrical components Experience with signal analysis and interpreting system performance during testing processes Proficiency in mechanical and electrical tooling, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair Practical experience working with test equipment and calibration tools in a lab, manufacturing, or production environment Demonstrated hands-on ("wrenching") mindset with a strong interest in building, fixing, and working with physical systems Experience in mechanical assembly or equipment maintenance Background in automotive, robotics, manufacturing, or similar hands-on technical environments Exposure to optical systems or laser alignment (nice to have, not required) Military technical experience involving equipment repair, maintenance, or system troubleshooting (highly valued)

Education:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in related field
