Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Overview:
Kimley-Horn's is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training with 2+ years of experience to join the Sacramento, CA office's MEP team!
Responsibilities:
Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on Building Systems Engineering and/or Industrial project types. Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various projects such as load calculations for HVAC, Exhaust, Chilled & Heating Hot Water Systems. Prepare design drawings - floor plans, flow diagrams, details, schedules, etc. and calculations for projects under a Professional Engineer. Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment. Familiarity with the State and local Code regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards. Project type will vary but may include advanced manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, and mission critical facilities.
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in a similar mechanical engineering role with familiarity working on advanced manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, and mission critical facilities An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering EIT/EI certification and/or Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain licensure) Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and excel and exposure to Trane Trace or IESVE.
Salary Range:
